About the Role
As TEKU’s Founding Operations & Strategy Lead, you will oversee the operational foundation of our marketplace, ensuring our systems, processes, and day-to-day operations scale efficiently as we grow. You’ll work closely with the founder to improve workflows, launch new initiatives, coordinate cross-functional projects, and support the successful execution of marketplace operations, retail experiences, and technology initiatives.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, designing scalable systems, and translating strategy into execution. You’ll help build the operational backbone of TEKU while shaping how the business scales from the ground up.
Job responsibilities
Marketplace Operations: Oversee daily marketplace operations and internal workflows. Partner with the Brand Partnerships team to ensure the seamless onboarding and launch of new brands. Maintain marketplace quality standards across brands and product listings. Improve operational processes to support business growth.
Project & Business Operations: Coordinate cross-functional projects across Brand Partnerships, Marketing, Logistics, and Technology. Build and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and internal workflows. Track key business initiatives and ensure projects remain on schedule. Support the launch of new marketplace features and operational improvements.
Technology & Platform Management: Coordinate website updates with developers and designers. Test new platform features before release. Monitor user experience and identify operational improvements. Help optimize internal tools including Shopify, Notion, Airtable, CRM platforms, and project management systems. Identify automation opportunities that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Events & Retail Operations: Support the planning and execution of TEKU pop-ups and retail activations. Coordinate event logistics, vendor communications, and operational timelines. Manage event inventory planning and operational checklists. Develop operational playbooks for future pop-ups, retail activations, and community events. Ensure seamless execution before, during, and after each event.
Strategy & Business Performance: Monitor operational KPIs and marketplace performance. Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement. Develop dashboards and reporting to support data-driven decision-making. Recommend operational initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience. Collaborate with leadership to implement scalable business processes.
Strategic Initiatives: Support new business initiatives from concept through execution. Conduct operational research and competitive analysis to inform decision-making. Help evaluate new tools, partnerships, and processes that support long-term growth. Work closely with the founder to prioritize strategic initiatives across the business.
Profile
Required: Associate degree or higher in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Project Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred: Experience in operations, project management, e-commerce, retail operations, logistics, or business operations. Familiarity with Shopify, Notion, Airtable, HubSpot, Excel, Jira, Confluence, or similar business platforms. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and projects. Understanding of marketplace or e-commerce operations. Experience working in startups or high-growth environments is a plus.

Role Details - Position: Founding Operations & Strategy Lead. Location: Remote (U.S.) | Hybrid in Dallas, New York, Miami, or Los Angeles Travel: Occasional travel for pop-ups, partner meetings, and company events. Schedule: Flexible, Part-time (20–30 hours/week)
Compensation: This is a Founding Collaborator position. As an early-stage company, this role offers performance-based profit-sharing opportunities tied to measurable business growth.
